Small links. Clear terms.

GlobalHire is a free public URL shortener. You do not need an account. Anyone with a short link can open its destination.

What is stored

The server stores each destination URL, short alias, creation and expiry dates, total click count, a hashed management key, and whether the link is disabled. Links remain available until they expire, are disabled, or the service is discontinued. Do not shorten URLs containing passwords, private access tokens, or confidential information.

Your browser collection

Your recent links and their private management keys are stored in this browser’s local storage. These keys let this browser view click counts and disable the links. Clearing browser data removes your collection and management access; it does not remove or disable active links on the server. Other people using this browser can access its collection.

Visits and technical data

Opening a short link adds one to its click count. We do not create individual visitor profiles in the application. Standard server access logs may contain IP addresses, request paths, timestamps, and browser details. Rate limits use keyed hashes of IP addresses; expired counters are removed during subsequent requests. No advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or external fonts are loaded.

Safe use

Only HTTP and HTTPS destinations are supported. Do not use this service for phishing, malware, scams, spam, harassment, or illegal content. Private network destinations are rejected, and requests are rate limited. Destination content is not automatically scanned or endorsed. The site owner may disable abusive links.

Reports and removing a link

Use “Report a link” on the home page to save the short alias and your reason for the owner to review. Do not include sensitive personal information. Reports do not guarantee an immediate response. To disable a link you created, use the Disable button in this browser’s collection. For account-free operation, lost management keys cannot be recovered through the site.

Availability

This service is provided as available, with no guarantee of uninterrupted service or permanent links. Keep your original destinations and avoid relying on a short URL as your only record.
